Jon Henes
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Jon Henes, founder and CEO of C Street, is one of the leading restructuring, corporate governance, and crisis advisors in the country. After 20 years as a senior partner in the Restructuring Group at Kirkland & Ellis, Jon founded C Street, a market defining strategic communications firm, dedicated to helping clients navigate complex special situations, including restructurings, liability management transactions, workouts, and chapter 11 cases.
Over his career, Jon has advised boards of directors, companies, and financial sponsors across the spectrum of the economy, including crypto-currency, retail, technology, automotive, energy, industrials, printing, media, radio broadcasting, television, healthcare, education, airlines, sports, real estate, and publishing. Jon is known for his client-first focus and creativity, as he pioneered the first one-day chapter 11 case in history and helped a multitude of clients fix their balance sheet and operations in some of the most sophisticated transactions in the industry.
Jon is described by Chambers as “very practical, creative and has an exceptional ability to sort out what is really important. Jon is also involved in many philanthropic and political activities. Notably, Jon is the Chair of the Board of the Vice President’s Residence Foundation and the Co-Founder of the Foundation for Education in Honduras (FEIH). He serves on the Advisory Board of the Black Economic Alliance, and the Boards of Directors of FEIH and CaringKind, the Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving, and is a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy. Jon served as the National Finance Chair for Vice President Kamala Harris’ 2020 Presidential Campaign and also as a finance chair for Ray McGuire’s 2021 New York City Mayoral Campaign.
As a leading advisor, Jon has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN, and Yahoo Finance, as well as in publications, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times, Bloomberg, and USA Today. Jon has lectured at esteemed institutions, including Harvard Business School, Penn Law School and New York University.
Jon earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Law Review, and recently taught as an adjunct professor.

Michael J. Frishberg
President, C Street Advisory Group
Michael J. Frishberg serves as the President of C Street Advisory Group. He previously served as a Senior Advisor to the company. In his current role, Michael will oversee the operations and business development for the company as it continues to transform the strategic communications and crisis management industry.
Previously, Michael served as the Global Chief Operating Officer of Kroll where he was responsible for driving operational effectiveness in all areas of the company. Prior to assuming the role of COO, Michael served as the Chief Operating Officer of Kroll’s Business Services practice, which includes Restructuring Administration, Settlement Administration, Issuer Services, Agency and Trustee Services, Notice Media Solutions and Business Support Solutions. He still remains a Senior Advisor to the Executive Leadership team of Kroll.

Michael joined Kroll in 2019 through the firm’s acquisition of Prime Clerk (now Kroll’s Restructuring Administration), a business he co-founded in 2013 to bring a technologically advanced, professional and cost-effective management solution to the claims administration industry. Before joining Prime Clerk, he was a Partner in the Restructuring Group of Kirkland & Ellis.

Michael holds a B.A. in history from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. Among his many educational and charitable activities, Michael currently serves on the boards of the Children’s Museum of the East End and the Foundation for Education in Honduras. He is a founding member of the University of Michigan’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leadership Council and a member of the University’s Museum of Art Director’s Acquisition Committee.

Jackie Rubin joined C Street with more than 20 years of experience guiding communications strategy and implementation for high profile matters involving some of the world’s most category defining corporations.

Her strategic communications expertise is drawn from a breadth of experience honed on over 40 transformative mergers and acquisitions, as well as financially distressed situations.

Jackie brings to C Street her unique hands on communication leadership and expertise in designing executive communications programs for established and emerging companies, complex change enablement, comprehensive internal brand and employee communications, global issues and reputation management, and everything in between.
With a steady hand and unwavering commitment to client services, Jackie understands the needs of clients experiencing existential challenges and is able to help them navigate a complex landscape to drive value and success.
