Bob is an institutional investor, independent board member, strategic advisor, and operating executive with expertise in matters relating to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). He has built a reputation for innovative thinking, protecting shareholder interest, transforming strategy into results, and driving enterprise growth.
Bob serves as President & CEO for the National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC), the largest network of diverse-owned private equity firms and other alternative asset class investment firms. NAIC’s membership consists of more than 140 member firms that collectively manage more than $260 billion in assets. Under Bob’s leadership, NAIC has established partnerships with industry leaders including Goldman Sachs, Korn Ferry, EY, William Blair, TPG, and Lockton.
Bob is a member of the Boards of Directors of privately held companies Travelport Inc. and Transworld Systems Inc., as well as of the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, where he chairs the Finance and Investment Committee and the K-100 Executive Club. He holds lifetime memberships in the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, National Eagle Scout Association, and National INROADS Alumni Association.
Bob earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was a recipient of the University’s Distinguished Service Award and was selected for the prestigious Virginia Governors Fellows Program.
