Mona Aboelnaga Kanaan Joins C Street’s Board of Advisors

C Street, a strategic advisory firm helping CEOs meet the moment, today announced the appointment of Mona Aboelnaga Kanaan to its Board of Advisors.

Mona Aboelnaga Kanaan is a CEO, serial entrepreneur, investor, and corporate director with more than 30 years of global finance and investment experience.

She is Managing Partner of K6 Investments, a private investment firm investing in a wide range of industries and advising companies as they expand into increasingly complex and interconnected global markets. Previously, Mona pioneered GP Stakes investing as President and CEO of Proctor Investment Managers, which she co-founded in 2002. She sold the firm to National Bank of Canada in 2006, acquired affiliates managing nearly $14 billion in assets under management, and continued as Proctor’s President and CEO until 2013.

Mona is a member of the Board of Directors of Sterling Bancorp (NYSE: STL), Chair of its Audit Committee, and a Member of its Executive, Enterprise Risk, and Credit Committees. She is the first U.S.-based Member of the Board of Directors of Perpetual Limited (ASX: PPT), a global investment manager with $80 billion in assets under management. She also serves on the Board of Directors of FinTech Acquisition Corp VI, the Board of Advisors of Ibancar, and the Advisory Board and FinTech Task Force of Dubai-based Global Ventures.

Mona is a Trustee of The Chapin School, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and International House New York; a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital Capital Campaign Steering Committee; and a Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

She holds a B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
