Kavon Lee


Kavon has spent the last five years in public service at the New York State Assembly, Board of Elections, and New York City Comptroller’s Office. Prior to joining C Street, he was a DEI Policy Coordinator in the New York City Comptroller’s Office, where he advised the Chief Diversity Officer on policy, legislation, and DEI best practices that impact the economic advancement of women and people of color. Kavon has spearheaded initiatives and special projects relating to the NYC Minority & Women Business Enterprise program, National DEI Initiatives, and corporate governance. He started his career in the education and nonprofit space. 

Kavon is an active community leader in the South Bronx and serves as an Executive Board member at the Soundview Resident Council.

He holds a B.A in Political Science (Law Concentration) from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where he is a member of the John Jay Pre-Law Institute. While at John Jay, Kavon served as an ambassador to Letitia James during the 2018 Attorney General debates and as a facilitator for the pilot of John Jay’s chapter of My Brother’s Keeper.
