The navigation of liquidity and issues surrounding capital structure are complex and require an intimate understanding of the restructuring process to orchestrate an in-depth strategic communications plan. What We Are Looking For

C Street is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented VP to join our Corporate Communications practice. The position calls for a publicity strategist and relationship builder. The ideal candidate for this role possesses strong analytical and interpersonal skills, is driven, a strategic thinker and a collaborative team player. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced client services business and develop your skills in communications, executive communications, investor relations, business transformation, and media strategy and execution. As a VP, you will assist in day-to-day client management and contribute to the development of high-quality communications materials for both internal and external stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the team and have the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by experienced professionals. The ideal candidate should have excellent writing and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

What You Will Do

As a Vice President, you will:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted, value-additive counselor to clients, including C-suite executives

  • Lead day-to-day management of multiple accounts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Lead development of comprehensive corporate positioning, strategic messaging, traditional and social media, and reputation management programs

  • Develop top-quality communications strategies and materials for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., press releases, talking points, Q&A documents, media pitches, media statements, employee memos, presentations, strategy plans)

  • Assist with day-to-day management and execution of client engagements, including monitoring progress and ensuring completion of client work

  • Build and manage relationships with the media community and serve as a client spokesperson with external audiences

  • Participate in new business development activities as well as other key practice initiatives, including proactively driving new business opportunities

  • Oversee junior employees and provide quarterly performance reviews

  • Contribute to the overall success of the firm on important matters such as new business development, mentorship and training for junior professionals, and marketing and thought leadership

What You Bring

  • 5 + years of work experience in strategic communications (crisis or financial comms background a plus)

  • Exceptional writing abilities and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working across the social media landscape

  • Team player mentality, with an ability to take initiative and perform under pressure in unpredictable work schedule

  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills

  • Strong organizational skills and close attention-to-detail, with strong motivation to consistently produce high-quality output

  • Managing and overseeing junior professionals in their daily work activities

  • Illustrate a strong desire to help pitch and win new business and lead client accounts on a day-to-day basis

  • An ability to problem-solve by thinking critically about issues facing clients, identifying options, and devising solutions to overcome obstacles

  • Project management skills including responsibility for delivering to project timetables and balancing competing priorities

  • High degree of responsiveness, including evenings and weekends, as needed

  • Proficient skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Willingness to be in person several days a week with team in our Midtown East office, to foster team building, maintain culture of collaboration, and promote mutual learning and growth
